Am I starting to go into early labor?

Okay so i turned 36 weeks today and had my doctors appointment, she didnt check my cervix this time but the last time i was checked i was 50% and 1 1/2 cm dilated. Starting this evening i have been getting menstrual type cramping in my pelvis area on and off along with bad lower back pain, I also have been having contractions which i believe to be braxton hicks because their not coming at a regular pace. I also been having increased discharge since the pain started and have been having A LOT of pelvic pressure. Am i in the beginning of labor? is this a sign that the baby is going to be early? I'm so confused! This is my second child but everything i have experienced with this pregnancy i have never really experienced with my last one. Thanks for the advice and help!
